Advice on Helping Teenagers Deal with (应对) Stress
Get enough sleep
Getting enough sleep helps you grow and develop normally, pay attention throughout the day, and keep healthy. For teenagers, this means about 8~10 hours each night.
Find activities or hobbies that make you happy and incorporate (使融入) them into your daily life. For example, artistic hobbies like drawing and painting can be used as a useful tool to help you deal with stress.
Take up exercise
Exercise takes your mind off stress and helps release chemicals (释放化学物质) in your brain (大脑) that make you feel better. This can be anything from a walk in the park, to a bike ride or basketball game with friends.
Talk to someone
Talk to a parent, a teacher or friends about your problems and they may be able to help you find ways to deal with stress. You can also go for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). It is a training course (课程) for anyone who may be having mental health problems. Visit *www.MHFA.org* for more information about it.
