Declan Galbraith is like most other 13-year-old boys. He loves computer games, swimming, cycling and football. But one thing makes him different: he is signed to a recording deal worth more than 1 million pounds. This remarkable young boy has an amazing voice. Record giant EMI secured Declan's signature in 2002 and over the next 3 years, it was promised that at least three albums would be released. Unfortunately Declan's career with EMI came to an end in the early part of 2003.
At the age of 8, Declan started singing at local talent competitions and won amazing titles in just 14 months. Since then he has gone on to record a version of Walking in the Air which was released on the same Christmas album as West life and Elton John. The album is called Christmas Hits. His debut(初次登台)album, Declan, was released in June 2002.
Not only does Declan posses an extraordinary vocal talent but the range of music he sings is both diverse and unusual for a boy of such a young age. As well as popular classic including I'll be There and Angels, he was anxious to record new songs that he could claim to be his very own and he did just that, releasing his debut single Tell Me Why in December 2002. It is hoped by Declan's fans that he'll one day even write them himself.
