     How to lead a low-carbon life has become a hot topic all over the world. As a middle school student,
I can do quite a lot. Here is what I do in my daily life.
     I bicycle to school every day. I can not only get physical exercise to keep fit but also avoid traffic jams
on the way. And I replace one or more of my weekly meals with a meatless meal. I never throw away paper
before both sides are used, which will reduce the use of trees and the pollution caused by paper making.
     At school I will hold some activities to promote my classmates' awareness of low-carbon life and encourage
them to cut down unnecessary energy use, for example, turning off the lights in our classroom when leaving.
(B)
     Last Saturday, my class organized a volunteer activity called "Building a Green World". My classmates and
I went to the city park near our school. We did some volunteer work there. We got there at nine o'clock.
Divided into three groups, we began to work. Some helped water trees and flowers. Some cleaned the benches
and picked up litter. Others cleaned the children's playground.
     All of us were happy because we did something good to others and to the environment. I believe this activity
can increase people's awareness of environmental protection. Protecting the earth is protecting ourselves.
