    The important job of cutting the diamond to get full value from it was given to Joseph  Asscher，a famous diamond cutter from Amsterdam in Holland．（39）G On February  10，1908，Joseph Asscher prepared himself for the greatest job of his life．He placed his  special diamond-cutting tool and hit it，but the tool broke．Fortunately，though，the  diamond wasn't damaged．（40）AThis time it was separated perfectly into three large  sections，which were later separated again into mne main diamonds，plus many smaller  ones．The largest piece is called Cullinan I，or the Star of Africa，and is now on display in  the Tower of London．
