¡¾´ð°¸¡¿Dear Tony,
As you know, I¡¯m the only child in my family, and I always feel lonely. Last year, an exchange student came to my family. His name is Tom. He brought me much joy and happiness. I didn¡¯t feel lonely any more.
He is very active and lively, and has a wide range of interests. He likes playing football and does well in playing chess. We live and study together. I have learned a lot from him, he often helps me with my English on his own initiative, so I have improved my English a lot. What¡¯s more , I have learned to share and look after my family.
I¡¯m lucky and happy to have an exchange student. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours,
Li Ming

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ Captain (´¬³¤) Nemo invited me and my friends to go hunting with him in the forests of Crespo Island. I asked him why he was interested in Crespo Island. ¡°I thought you liked the sea better than the land.¡±
¡°I do,¡± replied the captain. ¡°But these forests are under the sea.¡±
After going through a door, we were about ten metres under the water. The light from the sun reached us. Everything looked very colourful. We were going deeper and deeper. At 100 metres deep, we could still see quite well, and Captain Nemo stopped and pointed to some dark shapes. This was the forest. The ¡°trees¡± in the forest were giant seaweed, and all their ¡°branches¡± were vertical (´¹Ö±µÄ). We could not stop looking at them. Fish swam around the branches like birds in a forest.
Suddenly, I saw a large sea spider about a metre tall. It was going to attack me. Captain Nemo¡¯s man killed it with his gun, but it reminded me that the sea could be as dangerous as it was beautiful. When we reached 150 metres, it was dark. The sun¡¯s light could not reach this depth (Éî¶È). We turned on our lights. We could see about 20 metres around us. Finally, we found Crespo Island¡ªwhere a steep rock wall rose in front of us.
We could go no further, so we walked back toward the Nautilus. Suddenly, Captain Nemo stopped and shot an animal with his gun, it was a beautiful and rare sea otter. At last, we could see the Nautilus. Several large sharks swam over us. Luckily, they didn¡¯t see us. We re-entered the Nautilus safely. I was tired but amazed by what I had seen.
¡¾1¡¿What do ¡°the trees¡± in Paragraph 3 refer to?
A. Birds.B. Giant seaweed.C. Fish.D. Branches.
¡¾2¡¿When they reached 150 metres, how could they see things around?
A. With the help of the sun¡¯s light.
B. The rock¡¯s light helped them.
C. They used their own lights.
D. With the help of the light from the Nautilus.
¡¾3¡¿According to the passage, which is the correct order

Pascal Pich is an old and great athlete. He has got ¡¾1¡¿(¼¸¸ö) records to his name. This May, he completed the longest and shortest race of his career---over 3,000 kilometers pedaled (²È̤)on an unmoving bike.
Being ¡¾2¡¿(·è¿ñµÄ) is the way he managed to deal with the challenge. He succeeded in ¡¾3¡¿(Æï)around 600 kilometers a day on an unmoving bike with little sleep. Only 120 to 180 ¡¾4¡¿(·ÖÖÓ)of sleep a day made it possible to shorten the time.
Pascal already holds the world record for the longest distance pedaled on an unmoving bike in six days, ¡¾5¡¿(ÔÚ¡Ö®ºó) completing a 2,878-km journey last year. So why did he take on a challenge to beat his own record so soon? Because in ¡¾6¡¿(ËÄÔÂ), a Canadian had been two of his ten records, the longest distance travelled on an unmoving bike in 70 hours and in 128 hours. Pascal ¡¾7¡¿(¾ö¶¨)he had to take back what was his.
Pascal Pich started his six-day challenge on May 2 and finished on May 7. A new record for the longest distance pedaled in six days was ¡¾8¡¿(ÉèÁ¢) successfully. ¡°It proves me that at the age of 53, I can complete at a high ¡¾9¡¿ (ˮƽ), ¡° he said.
